If you want to take a step beyond a water feature, consider a waterfall, or even a series of cascades descending into a pool. Or why not have a stunning self-contained water feature to add an extra dimension and a talking point in your garden!
Water cascades can be combined with a rockery, to bring a fresh, alpine feel into a corner of your garden, even if your garden is flat and on one level. Many different plants are at home on a rockery, from trailing alpines to succulents
Waterfalls can make a stimulating background to a seating area on a patio, and it's not essential to follow a traditional theme. This type of feature lends itself well to a highly contemporary approach, perhaps using sheet metal, a mirrored surface behind the water, or even white rendered walls.
Many different types of self-contained water features are available. They range from contemporary stainless steel to traditional fountains, drilled stone monoliths and cobble designs. They can be installed using an open sump, or if children are present, a secure closed sump, covered with decorative chippings and featuring a hinged service hatch to enable maintenance of the enclosed pump.
The only limit is your imagination, and we would be happy to provide suggestions to suit the space you have available and the level of impact you want to achieve.
